In 1 Kings, the Bible says Solomon hired a skilled craftsman named Huram to make a bunch of bronze stuff for the temple. It says Huram’s father (who was also a skilled craftsman) was from the Phoenician city of Tyre, and his mother was from the Israelite tribe of Naphtali.
The version of the story in 2 Chronicles sometimes gives him a slightly different name (it calls him Huram-Abi), but it’s clearly supposed to be the same person. It says he’s a skilled craftsman who made all those same bronze things for Solomon’s temple. It says his father was from Tyre, but this time his mother was from the Israelite tribe of Dan.
