The Story of the Temptation of Jesus
The Devil is Surprisingly Bad at Making Deals

After he was baptized, Jesus started following the devil around for some reason. The devil suggested turning rocks into bread so that Jesus would have something to eat after fasting for 40 days. But Jesus didn’t think it was right to eat only bread, so he chose to eat nothing.

The devil kept suggesting that Jesus do things like worshiping him in exchange for something he already had, and jumping off a building for no reason. But Jesus refused these “tempting” proposals also. So the devil left Jesus and waited for a time when he would be more susceptible to temptation.

The end.

The moral of the story

Never eat bread.

Jesus says people shouldn’t eat nothing but bread, and clearly it’s impossible to eat bread without eating nothing but bread! Otherwise, Jesus’s excuse for refusing to eat bread would be invalid.
