The Bible says when Moses brought a plague of hail on Egypt, “it beat down everything growing in the fields and stripped every tree”.

Then in the next chapter, Moses summons locusts for the next plague. And it says the locusts devoured everything that was left growing in the fields and on the trees after the hail. Even though there wasn’t anything left growing there?
